Mobile app to help students practise for JEE, NEET, and other tests
Tapping into the latent demand for mock tests for students aspiring for professional courses at top colleges and universities, the National Testing Agency (NTA) has decided to launch a mobile phone Application for it.
Students prefer to give a few mock tests before taking exams like Joint Entrance Examination (JEE), National Eligibility cum Entrance Test (NEET) and others.
Until last year, Students did not have any mock tests, but last December, NTA introduced them for students to practice Students from rural areas also had the grudge that they did not have enough preparation to take the examination online
NTA will launch the mobile app to address these issues, so the student can take practice tests on their smartphones. Sources from NTA said that this app will be made available for JEE Main and Advanced, NEET and NTA National Eligibility Test (NET).
Officials added that students across the country can online at the NTA website or the NTA students’ app to visit the TPCs, adding that all these services are provided to the students free of cost. Over a lakh students have registered at these TPCs and over one crore students will benefit from it.
In reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Satyapal Singh, Minister for HRD, said, “In order to ensure no student is disadvantaged, the NTA has established a network of more than 4,000 Test Practice Centres (TPCs) to equip aspirants, especially those from rural areas, with computer-based test (CBTs).”
