3,500 students to participate in Udaan youth festival

From street play to painting competition, there is something for everyone at Udaan.

A three-day cultural festival, Udaan, Unfolding Drama and Acts for Nation, is all set to begin on Tuesday, February 12, 2019. More than 3,500 students from over 50 colleges and universities will be seen participating in the youth festival. It is based on four major themes: Art and Culture for Nation Building and Societal Development, Environment Protection, Challenges of New Media, and Equality for All.

It will be held at the Indira Gandhi National Centre for the Arts (IGNCA).

“In the last three years, Udaan has turned into a cultural fest which is a great platform to tap young talent among college youth, sensitise them about India’s contemporary issues and make them aware about India’s cultural diversity,” said Sumit Maluja, Convenor of the festival.

Eminent personalities such as singers Padmashri Malini Awasthi and Abhijeet Bhattacharya, BJP MP Manoj Tiwari and others will also participate in the annual event.

Day 1 (feb-12-2019):

Inauguration , painting competition, film submission, street play, solo classical singing, solo classical dance, quiz,  creative writing, photo exhibiton, band completion.

Day 2 (feb-13-2019):

Sculpture competiton,  cartoon competiton,  quiz stage2,  solo classical dance, solo classical singing, APKI panchayat, photo exhibition jury visit.

Day 3 (feb-14-2019):

Street play final, poster making, group folk dance,  declamation,   screening of films, prize distribution ceremony, live band.

The festival will conclude on February 14.
